4-H Goat Projects
The Power of Young People
4-H is near and dear to our hearts. I (Stephanie) grew up quite active in 4-H, and know first hand how it can help empower youth to their potential. There's also something magical about youth & animals, and we're proud to have children use our goats as 4-H projects. This means the youth come to our ranch and pick a project goat. They then work with the goat all summer, and then show their project at the fair. It is truly wonderful to see the youth & goats connect. The youth build confidence, learn responsibility, and develop deep friendships that can last a lifetime. I know it did for me!
Last year we had 12 youth work with goats. This year, we're taking it up a notch and working to add in farm tours and other experiences to help youth learn more about agriculture, and everything you can do with goats. Chevon (meat) goats, dairy goats, pack goats, heritage goats, targeted grazing goats and more!
